the cage bird sings

This is number two in my series "The Pattern of Life" where in I look at women's history which for millennia was decorative. The home could be both cage but also dominion and a realm where one ruled. Can the decorative quiet of the home be seen as the true root of the power of women's history. We've moved out of the home in recent centuries but is there, in the confinement of a gildedcage , also the freedom of power and creation? I made this piece with many sketches scanned then layers painted. I add music when placed into animation inspired by what I was listening to or dreaming of when creating the original sketches
