Grounding Meditation

This acrylic pouring was created using the "dirty pouring technique", where color is layered in a paper roll, which is then carefully lifted from the canvas. The canvas is tilted until color covers all of the surface area. I then used a flat piece of wood to swoop color onto the sides of the canvas. The patterns on the canvas were created by blowing air through a straw. This piece was inspired by my friend Shannon's grounding meditations led by an authentically compassionate and loving nature, which instils in me a feeling of warmth and connectedness with creation, like I experience when I feel embraced by nature.
