One way to bring traditional techniques into the digital world. This work is based on a fish rubbing/printing, a Chinese techniques called *yuta *鱼拓 (documented since the Song dynasty), or Gyotaku in Japanese. This method of printmaking uses fish, sea creatures, or similar subjects as its 'printing plates'. Prints were made using Chinese ink and Xuan paper. This original form of yuta, as a recording method for fishermen, is still utilized today, by fish lovers everywhere in the world.
