Evening Snowfall

A simple painting of a special time and event where snow falls during a sunset. In order for this to occur, for the light to be right, the clouds need to be somewhat thin, allowing the setting sun to emanate through the moisture. It must be relatively warm (30-36F) for the snow to fall rather large; chunky. It's slightly foggy out. You likely feel damp and can feel the clouds, the moisture, in your lungs and on your skin. Though cold and desolate, but you can't help but feel a warmness to your soul. A warmness the feeling of nostalgia creates, a longing for good times of the past; but also a hopeful glimpse into the future, one that vibrant, green, and one which is worth enduring.
