Abstraction 1

Abstraction 1 is an experimentation in mixed media: I started out by taking some photographs of a pretty incredible sunset in the South West of Western Australia. I took those photos, processed them together in photoshop then printed them out on art paper. Once the ink had dried I used some oil paints to paint over the top of the photograph in sections, merging the photographic and painted images, then scanned them in at super high resolution. The final image was processed and cleaned up again in Adobe Photoshop. The final product is an image that can be printed on canvas and comes up as an amazing abstract piece. The purchaser of this gets the full resolution file of the piece, ready to be printed and displayed on your wall.
