Original Relic

Original Relic It is one of my sad and thoughtful drawings where a girl has been the victim of a cruel fate, where everything around her has changed, but among her mutilated little hands she preserves a very valuable relic. That relic is her refuge, which motivates her to keep living, to dream, to have hope that one day the disastrous and harsh reality will change. Her simple, beautiful, and colorful drawing is her Original Relic. Through this artwork, I invite you to value what we have. Let us take care of our families, our home, our memories, our world.In the piece, I represent a girl with a gas mask and deformities in her body who, with her gloves, holds a drawing that is the most important thing in her life. With crayons of various colors, she drew her family and her beautiful home in a lovely landscape. I drew almost everything with pencils except for the drawing the girl holds, which I made with crayons to create a strong contrast between her heartbreaking present life and her joyful past, where she played with her parents, and there was no pollution, no drought, no war. To create the drawing I used: - Cardstock measuring 63.5 cm x 65.7 cm - HB, 2B, and 4B pencils - Crayons
