This is another classic collaboration with my granddaughter, Felicity. I TRY to be as wild and uninhibited with my lines as she is, but I just can't match her energy. I tend to make shapes that ARE something... She draws things that are what they are: lines on paper! Imagine the freedom! No expectations. No need to worry about sales. Just drawing for the love of the line (or the movement...or the parts that "accidentally" end up on our hands!)
The monster in this piece was inspired by those old monsters that you'd see drawn on medieval maps...a scary place with scary residents that will eat you! Thank goodness we know better now...
