[Pencil and ink on paper with digital embellishments.]
This piece was created from a micro-zine (an 8 page zine made by cleverly folding and cutting a single sheet of paper) that I started WAAAAAAAY back in 2016...when the world felt much more sane. I discovered the partially finished zine a few months ago and decided to FINISH it, making, basically, a TIME-COLLAGE: a zine created half in 2016 and half four years later. Maybe I'm just simple, but that sounded interesting to me.
My NEXT step was to photograph each "page" of the zine (which is technically one single sheet of paper) and make a simple animated gif from the pages. That's it! I tried to time it so folks can scan each page before the next one pops up...but it actually moves quicker than I can read. (I'm a slow reader, though, so this should work out fine. If not...make your own fucking gifzine and quit complaining! Ha!)
If anyone who buys one of these is interested, I can send them the "still images" of each page as png or jpg files so they can read them comfortable, if they like. I cool with that. Let's see how this experiment goes!
