I am a 34 year old artist residing in Johannesburg, South Africa. I grew up identifying as an expressionist painter while building, painting and selling my own canvases hand-to-hand. I was fortunate to apprentice under two well-established Zimbabwean artists who took me under their wing and taught me their trade. During this time, I got my hands on a computer and began learning digital art in parallel. At the same time, between the years of 1998 to around 2008 I was entrenched in the graffiti and illegal art scene of Johannesburg. During my 20's I worked a way into the corporate and creative agency realm as a graphic designer, and eventually as a creative director. During that period, I worked on agency projects for many international brands such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, BMW, Audi, Shell, First National Bank and many more. And then... i got sick and tired of working for companies, and stared making art I enjoyed, like the days before.
