[Ink on paper with digital embellishments and color. Drew this in my notebook back in June of 2020, and then I put it through about ten different color iterations. Decided that I liked this one the best. First time tokenizing this piece, even though I've shared the drawing a few times before!]
I watch my one-year-old granddaughter quite a bit, and to help her develop some strong female role-models, I've been playing a lot of female fronted pop / rock / and new wave groups. One of the bands she enjoys is The Bangles, and I can't blame her. The song, "Walk Like an Egyptian," was seriously overplayed when it came out, but that was more than 30 years ago. (I can finally stomach it again... Just like "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel!) The song is catchy, and it inspired this silly drawing...
