As a life long resident of the Pacific Northwest, Gretchen Shepherd has lived on a farm, in the desert, in the city, at the beach, and on the edge of a rain forest - all within the borders of Washington State. She received her first camera at age 10 from her grandmother and now, as a grandmother herself, has not stopped exploring the world through the eyes of her camera lens. As a photographer, storyteller, retired teacher/ librarian and life-long learner she strives to always “look for the beauty, hidden in plain sight" and share that through her images and stories.
