From a very young age I knew that I was going to be an artist for the entirety of my life. I spent countless hours drawing imaginary creatures and the worlds they inhabited. In high school an extremely supportive art teacher guided me even further down the road to a career as an artist. While attending the Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in both painting and illustration, I was challenged to push the boundaries of my understanding of what constitutes art, being introduced to the pop artists, changed my direction for life.
After serving in the Army, I embarked on an almost 30 year career as a successful tattoo artist, becoming known for my fine art style of tattooing. I've also maintained a busy freelance illustration side hustle with clients such as, Cutting Edge, Varese Sarabande, Warner Brothers and Topps.
Through all of my years, I've never lost my love of painting. In 2006 I began painting in earnest and made the choice to fully invest in learning digital art. Even then, I had the desire to bring digital art into the world of traditional contemporary art. I participated in numerous group shows from 2006 to 2013, exhibiting from California to Thailand. In 2017, after taking a mind clearing hiatus, I decided to focus full time on my fine art career and fulfill a dream that began in those imaginary worlds of my youth. My traditional work hangs in numerous private collections, as I hope my digital work will soon.
I live and work in Rochester, NY as a full time painter and tattooist, with my wife, 2 of our 5 children and the sweetest dog in the world, Ginger.
